Founding Anchors · Three programs · One continuum

The three programs that hold the floor.

Each anchor is its own clinical body — independent license, independent leadership, independent reputation. Together they form the floor under The Atlas Method: the 12-month, 4-season curriculum that runs identically across all three sites.

Northern Illinois Recovery Center

Crystal Lake, Illinois · Residential + outpatient

NIRC is the inpatient and IOP arm of the Atlas continuum — a freestanding addiction-treatment program one hour north of Chicago. Residential care is delivered in a small-cohort, trauma-informed model; outpatient day and evening tracks step patients down into community living without ending the curriculum.

NIRC adopted the Atlas Method in 2025 as the first program outside Prairie / Lovett to deploy the full 365-day arc. The clinical team is led by Dr. Caitlyn McClure, DSW, LCSW.

The Prairie Recovery Center · Lovett Center

Round Top, Texas · Residential · est. 2014

Prairie sits on roughly 80 acres of Texas countryside, ninety minutes from Houston. Co-founded in 2014 by Robert Hilliker and Will Davis, Prairie is the program where the Atlas Method was first written — a deeply individualized residential model designed around concurrent treatment for trauma, addiction, mood, and identity work.

The Lovett Center is the program's Houston outpatient extension: an urban step-down for clients leaving Prairie and an entry point for clients who need clinical structure without leaving the city. Together they operate as a single clinical entity under Lovett Behavioral Health Group.

Millennium Counseling Center

Chicago, Illinois · The Loop · Outpatient

Millennium is an outpatient counseling practice in downtown Chicago specializing in complex behavioral health: process addictions, sex and intimacy concerns, gender and identity work, trauma, and the full range of co-occurring presentations that don't fit the protocols of a 30-day rehab.

Millennium adopted the Atlas Method in 2025 as its long-form continuing-care framework. The program is led by Executive Director Derek Bylsma, LCPC, and clinical specialist Oren Matteson, LCPC, CSAT.

What ties them together

Three programs. One curriculum.

Atlas does not consolidate clinics. Each anchor keeps its license, its leadership, its admissions, and its identity. What Atlas provides — and what the anchors share — is the 12-month curriculum, the engagement-analytics layer, and a single language for measuring what care is actually producing.

A patient admitted at one anchor and stepping down through another stays on the same day, in the same season, of the same arc. Their clinician on the other side sees where they've been.
